I'm here, Just sparing you guys my incessant ramblings and idiotic thoughts for a while. I finally did what I should have done in the beginning I put the right size port that Altec recommended in the front of the 12 ft cabs and have been happy ever since. (of course not before I hacked a giant hole in them first ) I still swing by about 2 times a day...lurking and liking. I use the like button to say "I read what you said and thanks for taking the time to say it"

The emoticon didn't work, but that was supposed to be a wink at the end of my previous comment ;l I know you guys aren't really picking on him. He's actually a great member to have here. I love his "thinking out of the box" approach to All things Altec (pun intended--he's been trying to eliminate a "boxy" sound that he hears with his cabs).....

I don't hear the boxy sound anymore and I'm not sure why... I did put an angled board inside the cabs in the bottom and it doesn't have anything on it to stop the reflections. Not sure if it has anything to do with it. My plans are to glue some blocks on the top corners of that unfinished board and then sand all the edges and paint it black then cover it with speaker cloth so the top part of the cabinet and the bottom will look the same.

Nothing Bowtie ! Your reading too much into it. Your not missing anything, was just a compliment .Was just stating that no one but Cradledorf is using the Share/Like feature on a regular basis. I use it sometimes too. This qoute really says it all.

It could also be interpreted "Thanks for explaining or posting or teaching me something New". And would be a good reason to click the Like button.

You can teach and old guy, or especially a young guy, new tricks daily, so it's a win win for all of us !
